got bought as a gift for Christmas present and took a whilst to book due to work, arrived at site and met the members who all made me feel welcome, had flow Light aircraft before but all my expectations blown away, the take off angle is amazing as is the landing. will defiantly be visiting again and much more affordable than powered flight

My girlfriend booked the glider trip as a 64th Birthday gift (without telling me beforehand). I was not up for this at all. Generally, I don’t like heights and much prefer to keep my feet on the ground. However, life is for living and I decided to come out of my comfort zone and see it as a personal challenge. And boy, am I glad I done it! After meeting Frank and the team (who were both friendly and professional) my confidence grew and i climbed into the cockpit. And I didn’t go up just once, I went up 3 times!! Great views over the Horseshoe Pass. Do yourself a favour, give NWGC a visit for an experience you’ll remember for the rest of your life. Highly recommended

I just want to say a huge thank you to everyone at the NWGC for a wonderful “Flight Experience” last weekend. I thoroughly enjoyed all aspects ranging from the flights themselves to just having a chat with some of the members of the club. I found the club members approachable and more than happy to chat and answer even the silliest of questions.

Helping out with manoeuvring the aircraft back to the launch point following the landings helped gain a little insight into what needs to happen in order for the flights to operate.

This was my first time in a glider and there’s something quite magical about it. The weather conditions were not great for lift but the overall experience was just great.

Great people My pilot was happy to chat and make sure I was happy in the glider. No lift about and me being right at the weight limit ,16.5 stone, 3 good flights were had. As an Air Cadet from many moons ago it was good to talk about my gliding with people who understand the attraction.

Had a fantastic glider experience yesterday. It was a beautiful day for the flight and what a fantastic experience. My thanks go to everyone as t the Glider club who couldn’t have been more kind and friendly and looked after me every step of the day. My thanks to my pilot Ian, who was just Ace. We all had a wonderful time and I can recommend the experience to you. I’m 83 and this flight will stay in my memory for always. And I got a Certificate to prove I did it.
